1. Assumption of Risk
By participating in the Algarve Irish Dinks pickleball event, you acknowledge and understand that pickleball and related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, and other risks associated with athletic activities. You voluntarily assume all such risks.
2. Release and Waiver of Liability
You hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the event organizers, sponsors, venue operators, volunteers, and all other persons or entities associated with the event (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you or any property belonging to you, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, while participating in or traveling to or from the event.
3. Medical Condition and Fitness
You represent that you are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent your safe participation in the event. You agree to inform event organizers of any medical conditions or medications that may affect your participation. You consent to receive medical treatment in the event of injury or illness during the event.
4. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner
- Follow all event rules and regulations
- Respect other participants, officials, and staff
- Abide by the rules of pickleball as established by the event organizers
- Not engage in any behavior that could endanger themselves or others
5. Photography and Media
By participating in the event, you grant permission to the event organizers to use photographs, videos, and other media recordings of you taken during the event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes without compensation or further approval.
6. Property Damage
You are responsible for any damage you cause to event facilities, equipment, or property. You agree to reimburse the Released Parties for any costs incurred as a result of such damage.
7. Event Cancellation or Modification
The event organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies. In such cases, the Released Parties shall not be liable for any losses or expenses incurred by participants.
8. Registration Fees
Registration fees are non-refundable except as specifically stated in the event registration terms. Refund policies, if any, will be clearly communicated during the registration process.
9. Acknowledgment of Understanding
You acknowledge that you have read this waiver policy, understand its terms, and agree to be bound by them. You understand that this waiver is a legally binding document and that you are giving up substantial legal rights by agreeing to it.
